Our Rainbow Mountain Full Day trek is a new route in the Ausangate Mountain also known as Vinicunca. It’s an adventure that will take your breath away at every turn with its combination of wild mountain landscapes, snowy peaks and rushing rivers.
Hotel pick up will begin at either 3 am (private transportation) or 4:30 am (shared transportation) and we will travel from Cusco to the town of Hanchillpacha which is located approximately two and a half hours away. We’ll stop here for breakfast after which, we’ll travel another 25 minutes by car to the starting point of our hike. After passing the check point, we will hike 6 kilometers or approximately two and a half hours to reach the Mountain of colors where your guide will provide you a brief explanation of the site and you will get to visit and take photos for approximately 30 minutes. After our visit we’ll return to the town of Hanchillpacha and enjoy a delicious Peruvian buffet lunch.
